Jakarta – Candidate number 2, Prabowo Subianto, expressed that since he was young he has committed himself to serving the country. Prabowo wants the life given to him by God to be used to fight for the fate of the people. This was conveyed by Prabowo when he received a declaration of support from the Bakti Untuk Rakyat Community at Rumah Kertanegara, South Jakarta, on Monday (29/1).
“I am honestly, I have wanted to die several times, I have thought several times that I couldn’t continue,” he said.
“But by the Almighty, I have been saved several times, and now the remaining of my life, I will fight for the people of Indonesia,” Prabowo continued.
On that occasion, Prabowo also expressed his commitment to eradicating poverty in Indonesia.
“We want to eliminate poverty from the land of Indonesia,” Prabowo said firmly in an event entitled ‘Bakti Untuk Rakyat #BersamaBapak’.
Prabowo believes that these goals can be achieved by looking at the abundant natural resources of Indonesia.
He mentioned that the current government’s downstreaming, which is being done by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), is one of the efforts that he and vice-presidential candidate Gibran Rakabuming Raka will continue.
“We are confident that we will preserve and manage our national wealth so that it will not continue to leak,” said Prabowo.
“If managed properly, the wealth can truly be felt by the entire people, and that is my goal. I truly want to manage and preserve our wealth so that it can be enjoyed by all the people,” he added. (SENOPATI)
